  • Render in Window does not Override

When right clicking on the render button to region render an area in the viewport, the viewport resolution is not overridden even if the tickbox is ticked in the Output pulldown in Vray options.

Performing a full render (left click) does override the resolution, this issue only occurs when region rendering with right click.

This problem occurs with the lastest version of Vray for Rhino (released 25th September 2014),

Anyone else finding this? Was it an intentional change? I can't see why.

Using the teapot region render in the VFB isn't always an option particularly when you haven't rendered anything yet. Right click on the R is very handy.

We have a new command called visRenderBlowup that should do what you are looking.

I've restored to the previous behaviour.

The words 'vis Render Blowup' suggests to me that the selected region to render would be 'blown up' to the override resolution?

          Yes.
I'm glad it is working for you.

Sorry, but this is not the result for me.

            Please see my example below.

If I do a visRenderBlowup of the region im selecting with a 3000x1525px override, I would expect the region selected to fill the 3000x1525px area, not simply do a region render.

Currently the result is no different to the region render teapot in the VFB window.

            Does that make sense?

A real blow up would be great, if I remember me right other render engines use the naming "blow up" in this kind of usage .... I looked at the Maxwell render docu:

              http://support.nextlimit.com/display...+Blowup+region

(general the Maxwell plugin is a good example how a render plugin can be implemented to Rhino, for me it's the unrivaled reference)

Well, in theory that command should do that, but you are right, I'm not getting the right result either. I'll look further in this matter.
