  • refraction kills reflection

using the new update v. 2.00.26563 edu

If you use the VrayBRDF layer to make glass (reflection color = glass, refraction color = glass) and then change the refraction IOR = 1.0 it will also remove the reflections. This is needed if using single surfaces for architectural glass (windows).

I know there are workarounds, but this shouldn't happen this way, it's a bug.

Unable to send bug report thru vfr.

nevermind, that's a feature not a bug. the "L" button locks the Fresnel IOR to the refraction IOR. feeling silly.

although i was being dense, it WOULD be nice if the fresnel IOR would actually change to be the same number as the refraction IOR when it's locked. this is also an issue elsewhere in the interface (clr. thresh in adaptive DMC image sampler lock to Noise Threshold in DMC sampler, doesn't update), hoping it changes in 3.0
