Diffuse color slider not linear?

Hi,

if I use the color slider of the diffuse layer, than the dark values can be set raw only and the light values can be set very fine. It looks like the slider mode needs to be changed.

Hi,

The slider is linear but it works in Rendering space linear colors (mid point = Color(0.5,0.5,0.5) in the vrscene).
The color that you see in the swatch on the other hand is Screen space (sRGB).
This gamma curve applied to the swatch is the reason the slider does not feel linear.

The V-Ray color picker lets you choose between Screen and Rendering space sliders for both HSV and RGB.
We will consider adding a switch for the slider modes even outside of the Color Picker.

More than one year later there is no solution - the middle of the sliders shows a bright grey and dark colors are difficult adjust. Also in Screen mode the value slider at the color chooser and the slider of the diffuse color are in different positions. It's a quite basic feature and I hope it's not so difficult to fix. Please don't forget it.
