Hello everyone,
I'm a new guy here in the forums. Been very happy with V-Ray For Rhino except one thing: decals.
I work with products that I always insert labels on. These products have a fixed plate where I insert labels (stickers) that indicate the type of recyclable waste. In Rhino I can just select those plate layers and add decals (as a plane). Since V-Ray doesn't work with decals, I've tried V-Ray materials but they won't show properly. The tutorials and guides are mostly from previous versions from V-Ray for Rhino, where there are similar operations to maneuver with (just like if I use Rhino Rendering and Rhino Decals. I doubt these features have been removed from 3.6, so perhaps it's hidden OR just different.
The stickers are in .PNG format and when using them as V-Ray materials, they're cropped or they fill the label layer with a slice of the original PNG. Is there a similar "decal widget" to change their sizes and adjust positions? Now I've had to render with Rhino Cycles since everything else would render with V-Ray but the labels. Doing this post-rendering in Photoshop is a lot of extra work and mostly my angles are not great for skewing and twisting those PNG-images.
Most likely I'm just doing it wrong but any advice from you guys how to do this within V-Ray for Rhino? I've added a picture of my problem (and my label) but I can post more if needed.
Thank you in advance!
