  • Vray Next, Lighting Analysis - change parameters without re-run simulation

    Hi all,
    I'm working with V-Ray for Rhinoceros 6 4.00.01 - Build: 01 Hash: 72b677e6 Date: Mar 12 2019.

At the end of my simulation I need to show the illuminance and luminance falsecolor images.
Since I'm not an super expert user (I could be wrong something vray cmd) it seems that the lighting analisis parameters can be set before starting simulation only.
This is not usefull because I need to re-run the simulation every time I need to change some parameter or to switch fro illuminance to luminance visualization.

    Can someone help me.

    Kind regards
    Giorgio

    Hello, Giorgio,
The functionality you describe already exist in the V-Ray core. We plan to have a manual "update" button implemented in one of the upcoming updates of V-Ray for Rhino.
I'm afraid for the time being the only workaround is to re-render the scene after each tweak of the render element's parameters.

    Kind regards,
    Peter

      Hello, Peter,
Thanks for the response. This button is very usefull. However I discovered a little trick to update false color images with the newest parameters is run a region render within the black area outside the image renderized.

      Kind regards,
      Giorgio
