making leaves

Hi ya

I'm trying to make a material for my leaves but I can't find any tutorials anywhere that tell me how to make the leaf image match the leaf shape. I downloaded a plant pack which was for 3DS Max but had all the files in 3DM and separate material images. Now I am trying to create the materials to go back on the leaves and I can't.

Hi,

For texture mapping, it is generally advisable to use Rhino's mapping tools. Specifically for leaves, you could simply use a planar mapping, however, if the geometry is more complex you could use the UV Editor to fine-tune the mapping.
