Can I change the material preview to custom make modelling?

I want to change this preview to custom make modeling or only a simple sphere ? thank you very much!

Hello pun1407,

In Rhino the material preview files are composed of several .vrscene files to enrich the material presentation (settings, object, camera, etc.).
Every single asset uses different combination.

Yes, I know, that this kind of modifications are interesting, but we all must be aware of the consequences:

▬ in fact the material preview is equal to Interactive rendering, the current material preview composition is tested and optimized to ensure, that the processed will run smoothly
▬ this kind of local changes may result in technical difficulties for the Asset Editor and your whole configuration
▬ with every V-Ray update this personal modification will be cleared off

That's why we highly disrecommend to change the existing preview.
