  • NVIDIA RTX 3000 series or AMD Big Navi for GPU Rendering?

    Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my GPU for more heavy rendering tasks,
At the moment I am currently looking at RTX3080 to replace my GTX1080.

With the looming release/announcement date for AMD's Navi 21 GPU. I'd wait and see what they have to offer.
But does it even make sense to go for AMD cards at all?

I've read somewhere Chaos Group helped NVIDIA with the OptiX development or something?
So is it always a safe bet to go for NVIDIA knowing VRAY will have the best support for it, if not only support.

We have not supported AMD cards officially since a while now; for the last few years we opted to focus on NVidia cards exclusively as it helps us to make V-Ray GPU more robust and optimized.

    Best regards,
    Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
