  • Materials with Bitmap texture resize with surface UV?

    When applying a material with a bitmap texture to a surface, the texture "sizes" with the surface. In the attached example, a stock V-ray wood plank material is shown on planes of different sizes. Changing the texture placement settings ie; tiling, seems to have no effect. If a scene has multiple surfaces with the same material that need to be uniform, such as multiple floor levels of different sizes, how is this accomplished? Thanks

    Hi KYD,

    You can control/unify the scale from Rhino itself - by selecting the objects and going to the Panel > Texture Placement > Apply Box Mapping (or any other suitable type). I've tried to prepare a visual example for you here. Hope it will be of help!
