  • Swarm config on specific network ip range

    Hello,

i'm trying to set up swarm on a specific virtual IP network (i usezerotier). Is it possible to force the auto-discovery network on a specific ip range instead of the regular 192.168.1.... ?

    thanks

Or is it possible to set custom IP lists like in DR from 3dsmax ?

The network discovery options determine how a master node is selected. The master node machine is the one Swarm uses to establish communication and manage render jobs among the other machines in the network.
When you have auto-discovery enabled, the machine with best network visibility is selected as a master node. If this option is toggled off the manually input IP address determines the machine that is a master node. All this only affects the communication between render node machines, not the actual DR process.

To prepare custom lists of machines for distributed rendering, please utilize Swarm's tags functionality - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...iguration-Tags.
Multiple tags can be assigned to each machine allowing various combinations with a couple of clicks. You can find a video demonstration at https://youtu.be/9b-HPqfpY_4

Please let me know if you have any further quetions!

      Kind regards,
      Peter
