    Hi Micha ,

    Here's how you do it:
    • Create a Dome Light and make sure that its shape is set to Sphere
    • Navigate to the Light Properties of the Dome in Rhino
    • Enable the Sync Env. option

Name:	syncEnv01.jpg
Views:	289
Size:	131.1 KB
ID:	1107621

This will ensure that the active Rhino environment is used as a Dome light texture or color.

      Great, that's it.

      Thank you very much.

Sidenote: if I haven't overseen it than this info can not be found at the help pages. Would be nice if it could be added at the dome light page.

I was also unable to find info about this on our docs page.
I'll make sure they describe the workflow there.

        Thank you,
        Konstantin

I tried this and what happens is that whatever environment is current in Rhino overrides the environment in VRAY. Is that the point?

          Thanks,

          Thomas

Right, that is it. So, you can use special Rhino environment functions.

For example can a Rhino environment be seen in the background of the rendered viewport. Or plugins like HDR Light Studio modify the Rhino environment.
