  • Bake VRay light from Grasshopper to Rhino

Is baking supported, or is there a decent workaround? I don’t want to have to render all of my work in Grasshopper but would love to be able to use it to control lighting variations and do any number of things that Grasshopper allows.

Have you tried the Render in Project component(https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...r+in+Project)? This will allow you to render your definition using the Asset Editor controls and settings. This works for geometry definitions as well, not only lighting.

Yes, the render in project node allows me to render something within Grasshopper, but I'd like to use grasshopper to create, distribute, and bake lights that I can later modify in Rhino. See the attached recording (sorry for the low quality), I do not believe the render in project node allows this.

Currently baking lights from Grasshopper is not supported. I will log this as feature request.

Would love to see this feature as well! And to be able to group lighting under one instance when baking them so that we could adjust them easily in the lightmix
