  • The problem of opacity mapping and a strange workaround

Since a long time I have the problem, that transparent areas of offset surfaces are not rendered 100% clear. Here an example:

So far I remember me the problem it's a GPU rendering issue. Will be there a fix, maybe per next update?

For now I found a wild workaround per displacement and water level. The water level fully cut the wanted transparent area away, the unwanted shadow effect is gone.

    Hello Micha,

Try to flip the normal with the Dir command to see if it makes any difference. If this does not work, please send an example for investigation.

      Hi Slavcho,

here an example. In GPU mode I get something like a shadow and in CPU mode the surface behind the mapped surface get transparent.
