  • Render animation with Bongo - saving and using light cache?

Is this feature possible when rendering animations with Bongo?
I loved this feature in vRay for Max. Save the light cache in one hit, then import it and use it for the entire animation. This was a real time saver.

I'm rendering a Bongo animation now, but I can't seem to turn the Animation slider on in vRay. It's stuck to off. Is that because Bongo isn't supported?

    I'm using Rhino 7 and
    V-Ray for Rhinoceros 6 4.20.03

    Hi,

Bongo uses the renderer as a batch tool. It renders frame by frame, and in general the renderer is not aware that an animation is being rendered. It is not only the LC file impossible and the Animation toggle is off. Also no motion blur for camera and objects, nor static object BVH caches.

but there is a hope. If V-Ray drives the animation, and Bongo is used as a batch tool to modify the scene - then everything above is possible.

We're expecting Bongo 3 to be officially released, before enabling that workflow, and developing all the tolls required.
