  • Render doesnt match Cosmo material

    I am using the KO1 Black Leather material in Cosmos and it renders in this grey. Please look at the material versus the render.

    What am I doing wrong?
    Please advise where to begin to look? Rhino 7, GPU rendering, Latest Vray.

    Hello ken_levi,
    Thank you for the screenshots.

    First of all, could you please check if the textures for Bump and Reflection maps are missing on your side?
    Correct preview should look like this:

    If it is missing I can suggest to import this material from Cosmos Browser once again and replace it.

    As for the render - this material has high reflective properties, therefore depending on the lighting conditions material may appear brighter: please see the example.
    If you want to make it less reflective, change Reflection Color: example. ​

      Yep, that helped a lot, thank you! I dunno how the first material got corrupted but now I know to check that in the future.

      FWIW when I switched to box mapping it did get lighter. A simple adjustment to the diffuse color fixed it though.
