  • Enmesh and blocks

I wanted to import a block file into my scene which has enmeshes in it, however when rendering, enmeshes don't seem to appear. I read through the documentation to see if there was a limitation but couldn't find anything regarding blocks. I tried exporting as a vrmesh and still doesn't seem to work either.

Importing a block with enmesh does not work properly in v-ray/rhino.
When imported, the enmesh geometry is not assigned to the object anymore. You need to do that again in the block editor. Then it should work.
If you are using linked blocks anywhere in your model, then all kinds of problems arise with v-ray geometries. So until this is fixed it is better not to use linked blocks.

      Thanks for the reply,

Yeah I came to the same conclusion after trying differnt methods, definitely something that should be implemented. I had to seperate the elements with enmesh from the rest of the model that I set as a block to import directly which is not ideal, especially if you have a lot going on in a scene. If changes are made I have to manually update it which sucks. They should update the documentation to state the limitation as its a pretty big one IMO.
