Is there a way to control the amount of bump?

    Hi,
Just change your Multiplier value for your texture, they can be positive or negative values.

The current vray is using a exotic blend function for the textures. General if you like to change the intensity of a texture, you must set the color to black and than you can use the texture multiplier. Vray blend between the color and the texture. If you use black, you get a pure intensity control.
In the case of the bump, you can not set any color, you can find a multiplier at the texture properties.

I think the bump multiplier may not be subject to the "blend" multiplier scheme since it doesn't really make sense to blend a bump

Yes, I have try to find a general conclusion for texture control. I hope in the future we will get the same control interface for any texture. Maybe like in the thread here.
