Fixed sampling - how does it work?

Hallo,

I have tested the fixed sampling and wonder me - the best result I get with 1 and if I use higher values, the sampling of a fine bump structure looks bad. I have thought high values bring a better sampling. What should I do, if I want to get more than one sample per pixel?

I don't understand the online help.
