I need some helt getting started.
I cant get my light from rhino to worke, just black render when on, and fine when off. Dont get it....
And the a material tutorial...

As for lights, I am not sure what type of rendering you are doing exterior/interior/product, but I would recommend using the least amount of lights to see how GI (global illumination) works.

Also, be sure to adjust your lights using an interface found in the object properties. The light intensity is controlled by the multiplier. The default light setting may be too intense for your situation (or units, not sure if that is still a problem).
