  • newbie question

    Hello here,
I have a simple question, and i have searched the forum for an answer but didn?t find one. ( might be my misstake)
I saw that there are same material libaries in the v -ray folder. I wounder how i can use them. I thought that it would be though libary funktion in the options menu in rhino, but they do not appear there. Am I missing somthing?

    Thanks

    newbie question

    Hi heiko

    First of all welcome!

The materials are found under the 'object properties' panel (F3).

    1. Click on object on to which you would like to apply the material
    2. Then go to the 'object properties' panel and select material from the roll down menu (at the top)
    3. Click the 'plug in' button
    4. Select 'create'
    5. The Vray material editor will appear - 'right mouse button' click over the 'default material' name on the material workspace tree (lower left)
    6. Select import from file and browse to you VRay materials folder

There are limited material at present and much debate on the forum about the method of applying them, but this should give you a start?

    cheers

      newbie question

thanks for help and welcome greetings, i shall give it a try.
It doesnt seems like "perfekt" workflow to me
Is it under devolopment? It would be nice to have it like a simpel libary to browse, like it is in maxwell or falmingo.
I have to read me in in the forum first. I think much will be easier than.

      another thing:
my first try to render a scene was a full fault. It was only black. So I tried too find some help in the help files and ... nothing!!!
Is this all? I mean, help...
