Hi,
what are the options to get something similar to the trees of flamingo ?
gettings something 3d with good quality, in vray, within rhino.

you might want to try xfrog...

after a while you get some pretty good results, and you have a good control over the number of used polygons, I think you can download xfrog and test it foe 1month or so...

edit: of course this is not fully implemented into Rhino, you have to do your tree in xfrog, import it into rhino, get your materials on it... but you get it via 3ds output with correct uvw mapping coords...
