  • Saving Irradiance Map

Let's say I have 4 views I want to render. I am under the impression that I can save the irradiance map so that each time it renders, it only has to calculate the part that I have not yet seen. But I don't know how this is done, or if I'm doing it correctly.
I rendered and saved the map. Then I checked "add incremental" but it still seems to process the whole image. I can see the map file size growing, so is it working?

    Saving Irradiance Map

Just as a quick note : Craig is one of the people testing a development build - so not everyone as of the date of this message has this ability yet..

The new installer dumps "imapviewer.exe" out to the base VRayForRhino directory. If you run that and open up your vrmap file you can see the differences between the renders. In the add incremental you should see new samples showing up in the areas where needed. Give that a shot and let us know if it appears its working for you.
