Hi, i am not sure if this question is in the correct topic, sorry. I am doing my degree project of industrial design, a concept car. Its a urban car and i want to do some renders with a city in the background, but i dont know how, can you tell me how to do or some tutorials??
Thanks a lot and sorry for my english...isn't good
For example "holz" means "wood" and than click search "suchen". Now you get all wood materials. Click on the images and you get the material with small preview - click on preview and you get a bigger texture image.
Thanks for the link Micha!
A lot of nice textures in there. I just used the google translator and it worked perfect.
Hey Micha,
Do you have an idea of what is going on with the material download area? I understand they are working on some server issues. I really wish the materials were more integrated into vray. I haven't tried the Max converter yet,(seems like a huge hassle) but it sounds like it's my only option.
Perhaps I should throw this in the wish list but my ideal improvement would be in the handling of material in vray. I would really love if the material library was on par with vray for Studio Max. How nice would it be if in the preset materials you had texture maps and bump maps with the materials? I could choose velvet, leather, brushed nickle, various fabrics w/bump maps already attached etc... Richer materials. It seems like to get a more realistic rendering the secret is texturing. image in diffuse w/bump and displacement.
I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking this and would love to hear some feedback on the download section. I have been patient but would love some sort of indication as to the effort being put forth on the material section.
