The V-Ray for Rhino 3 book has a nice leather material - but its just a leather texture that you could probably get from any good texture site. I believe there is a thread somewhere around here with good textures. I'll edit this post with the link when I find it.

The V-Ray for Rhino 3 book I'm referring to is currently only in Chinese - we're still translating it. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to distribute the textures he's using for the leather - thats why I just suggested looking at some common texture sites for a leather texture.

what i mean was type of displacement on the leather
like a hill where the buttons are the leather are goes in
not i need the leather file for bump i already have that

zpare: Thanks for the link! Great tutorial there - i will try that one out!!! Looks awesome. Of course some modeling is required - can't just get eveything on the texture itself.

in rhino i dont know how to model it in filleted surfaces yet make it seemless

Can you at leats give us a hint when we can expect the release of the english version?

I think we have most of it translated and just may need some additional formatting to properly place images and some other editing. We have a lot on our plate at the moment, so I would think its probably still a couple months off before we'd be able to release anything.
