  • Gama corrected colors?

I have a simple room with with walls.

I have 2.2 gama and also correct RBG colors on and LDR textures on.
My wite wall are 255,255,255 but after the render I allways get the walls a bit gray.

Should I work with correct RBG colors or not? I herd Micha say that the wite mat should never be more than 205, does it apply in this case?

    Thanks
    Sergio

    Re: Gama corrected colors?

There were some issues with how Joe was correcting the RGB colors, so for the current build that you have now you should not be using the Correct RGB because it darkens the colors too much. We did get to the bottom of what was the issue, so in the next build the Correct RGB function will be working properly and in that case you should be using the Correct RGB and Correct LDR textures for proper Gamma Corrected workflow.

That being said colors that are at either end of the spectrum (either very dark of very light) will not be affected by gamma correction very much, so you should be fine with having white walls and not using corrected rgb values
