  • How do you work with textures?

I have not found a good workflow to apply textures in Rhino yet.
Got this stupid project where I have objects all over the place. Planar mapping works best but I would have to rotate the object and messure everything.
Or am I doing something wrong?

I need to texture flat planes...only problem...surface mapping does not work because the planes are not rectangular
Now when I map something to it the picture is distorted.

How do you work with textures? Any tools? I just tried Bodypaint and also had a glimps at deep paint but they don`t go together with Rhino files that well.

I'm not sure what mapping you need, but if you create meshes from your objects and export it as obj, than you could assign mappings per free tool UVmapper.

The quality of this mapping is better than the McNeel mapping. For example you can use a spherical map at a cube with 12 triangles only without distortion.
