Single glass_color_shadow

Is it possible to give a single glass surface a color and a colored shadow, or do I have to make a solid and use the fog? I downloaded the vismat opted for glass surfaces but could not figure out how to get the shadow colored.

Single surfaces won't act correctly because refraction requires an entrance and exit surface to get correct refractions. In order to make glass act like glass it really needs to be solid. Once you have that Fog is the best way to create the color you want, although setting the refraction color will keep things more straight forward. You will want to enable Affect Shadows which will allow the shadow to be colored.
