Hi

Can someone share some topics of the newsd about the new version and when is it comming out?.

I belive that Rhino alredy has some inicial code to allow material by face selection, will this be implemented? when?

Rhino does have a test command (essentially a beta command) that will allow for per face materials. However the material ID information is still only done on a per object level for 3rd party renderers. So i think there is still going to be a few more things that McNeel will have to implement to have full application of the that.

We are still not 100% on what will be in the up coming update, but its going to be more about bug fixes and minor functional additions than major features (thats for the next full release). Also there's going to be hopefully a few more issues worked out for running on Vista.
