Braided Rope Material?

Has anyone or can anyone tell me how to make a braided rope material. I just need the texture not the braids my model is braided. here is an example of the desired look.

Never mind i made my own.



Let me know what you think I would be happy to upload it if anyone wants it.
plus if anyone has an idea of how i can make it look like it has broken thread like in the real image i would love to hear it. take it easy.

Some years befor I have done a rope with displacement, so, a textured pipe could be a solution too. Your model is great for close ups.
