I decided to model my room...It's a bit dark, funny thing is that's how dark it is any given day. It's also grainy where the light hits the mirror and the wall. Any ideas how I can get rid of it? There's no texture at all on the walls but I still get that. I searched some posts on that and some solutions helped a lot. Thanks guys.

p.s. any ideas on how to improve it are welcome

    Re: first render

Well it doesn't look like there is a time of day that sunlight will actually get into the room, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. If you really want some sun, then add a window or skylight or something.

As far as the mirror goes, it looks as though it has some glossiness on it, which isn't good for a mirror.

      Re: first render

Hi guys, just wanted to post a rendering that I haven't worked in since september. Big difference I think...feel free to comment. Thanks for all the help Dalomar.

        Re: first render

        Looks quite good.

        I would:

        - avoid the deep black and add light blury reflections to this material (black is so deep black very seldom)

        - less saturation for the bed top blanket

        - textures for the books

        - the book boars are looking floating (detail enhancement could help to get shadow details or use IM max rate 0)

        - add light reflections to the wood ground (the bright window stripes should be visible)
