blotchy shadows. please help

i'm pretty new to vray. switching over from flamingo. what a big difference. wow! vray is awesome. i keep getting blotchy shadows on the ground plane. can anyone help me figure out why?

I would suggest starting out with loading some of the presets that come shipped with VfR. Take a look at the major settings and see what some of the differences are, and that will clue you into getting better quality. Also looking at the Training Manual is a very good idea. This is available in our downloads section.

stupid question... how do i post an image? when i hit the insert image icon, i just get the img text. i also can't copy paste into this reply and i really don't feel like posting it to the web and creating a hyperlink.

Two ways:

* use the "additional options" of the reply user interface of the forum or

* load your images to an image host like photobucket.com and post the link (mark your link in your post and press the image button)
