can materials for vray/rhino4 work for vray/rhino 3?
can materials for vray/rhino4 work for vray/rhino 3?
when i downloaded many materials from dowload section, i got a lot of ones that couldn't import. i'm still on rhino3. does this have something to do with it? sorry for the newbie questions.
thanks
Re: can materials for vray/rhino4 work for vray/rhino 3?
If you are working on the initial release of VfR3 then no they will not work, so if that is the case you should upgrade (its free). Its also possible that those are some of sketchup materials that have linked materials associated with them. But aside from that they should work.
Re: can materials for vray/rhino4 work for vray/rhino 3?
i tried the update and i still get that message. in particular, the carbon fiber mat from this site tells me that is is not a proper vismat file when i go to import it. if anyone can tell me what's worng, i'd appreciate it.
Re: can materials for vray/rhino4 work for vray/rhino 3?
i just downloaded the material studio. it is able to import the carbon fiber. why am i not able to imort into rhino? shouldn't they be compatible? or am i just suppose to use the material studio to test settings, then copy them down and reapply in vray? arggg! too much to learn. could use some help.
