Over the past few days I've been rendering a series of different design schemes. I need these to be rendered from EXACTLY the same angle. However, even when saving a view, if a toolbar moves, or the commandline moves, if anything moves, you can't make the camera stay dead on. We really need actual physical camera objects so that we can more precisely control the views. I need to be able to reliably composite options into a reference scene over a period of several days work. A saved camera angle should render the exact same view regardless of the viewport. I've tried every setting I can think of, even having a special viewport for rendering only, but all the minor variables of rhino's working interface still affect it.

Any thoughts? Is an actual camera object in the works at ASGVIS?

    Re: Cameras

if you fix your output settings (output tab, vray settings), the viewport size doesn't matter. As a matter of fact, there *is* a camera object. ShowCamera makes the camera visible. It's not a very sexy icon, but it works and as you will see, when you change the size of the render view, the icon will stay at the exact same position in the other viewports.
