Within the default settings, the "sun" is actually the default Rhino light, which is attached to the camera in a fixed relationship. Personally, I don't think this light does too well for rendering (and in actuality, its purpose is simply for viewport lighting), so changing it is a necessity. The first step is to turn that light off, which you can do in Global Switches by disabling Default Lights
So next, you want to add a sun light via the Sunlight command. After that all you need to do is direct the sky maps to reference that sunlight, so go into the environment rollout and click on either GI or Background. Once you do that, you'll see a button at the top of the dialog box, and clicking on that will allow you to change the light that is referenced. Change that to the light that you just added (its probably Light 01). Make sure you do that for GI and Background and you should be set up for a new sun

i use default setting and adjust some parameter:
1) qmc GI subdivision 20
2) qmc sampler...adapt. amount 0.85, noise thresh 0.001
