Its usefulness for VfSU is entirely dependent on your ability to "translate" it into the context of VfSU. The concepts by and large are exactly the same, and a good portion of the UI elements are going to be the very similar. However, there are some UI elements that are slightly different and some concepts that might be slightly different within the SU environment. Its up to you if you're willing to make that translation on your end.

Hey, that link partly answered my post about caustics. Fig. 09 in regards to caustics.
I'm looking forward to when the book arrives in my mailbox. Nice to have some reading material on paper. Too much readin on the monitor tires me.
Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
It's useful for V-Ray in any flavour. Though VfRhino and VfSketchup doesn't have every material which Max currently have material, this book does cover everything, and the next VfRhino/VfSketchup will include all material so that'll increase the relevancy of the book.
I'm happy about the book. The only thing so far which has been bugging me is that the translation isn't 100%; some odd grammar and choice of words which sometimes breaks your reading flow. (At least mine.) But don't get me wrong, you still fully understand it.
Basically, any resource related to V-Ray can be translated into any flavour of V-Ray. The host application doesn't matter, V-Ray is still V-Ray.
