  • Batch Render - Lens shift - VisOpts

    Guys and Gals,

Anyone figure out a way to have the batch render load a particular visopt for each viewport? I've got say 5 vp to render in a file, say each one of them is a different camera angle and therefore has different lens shifts . . .

I would rather not have to split each vp with unique visopts into separate files but would like to be able to specifically assign a given visopt file to each viewport in the batch render dialogue to more precisely control unnatended renderings.

    any one have any thoughts?

There wouldn't be a way to do that with the Batch Render thing we have currently in Rhino. I can throw something together, but it will only be for one file (at least I don't think so at the moment). I've got to head out, but check back later and I'll try to have something together.

Here's the something...interface/workflow wise, this was a little dicey. Basically the question was how to make sure one would know how the visopt was being assigned to a particular view. The way it works is to specify the number of views you'd like at the beginning and select the view individually and then the visopt to be associated with that view. You can choose to add less, but not more. I thought this was the best way to keep it clear, but if you've got another idea I'd like to hear it. There really aren't very many custom UI options for this at the moment, so keep that in mind.

I'm looking into whether I can get this to use multiple files, but I'm not sure whether that will be possible at this stage or not.

Anyway, hope this helps out, and please let me know if you'd like anything added, or if there's something I messed up.
