  • viewport/Camera Proportion Locking?

    Hello guys-

I have been wondering if there is a way to lock the aspect ratio of the viewport in Rhino to match the render options for Vray. I am currently rendering items for a catalog, and I have had an issue with renderings not aligning exactly if the view port was tiled vs. full screen.

In Alias Studio tools you were able to lock the aspect ratio to match the render camera in order to better estimate the output. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

You can't lock the viewport at all with Rhino, so no luck on that one. I would suggest manually setting your resolution through either V-Ray Options or Rhino options. That way you won't be affected by changing viewport size or aspect ratio. I've always set the resolution through Vray options and have never seen this. The thing that you can do to "test" what will be in the frame or not is to use the SafeFrames feature that you can find in the Rhino options. Keep in mind that that setting will reference the resolution set in Rhino.
