    Hi everyone!
im try to work out a way to integrate photos and renders products.
i was thinking about using the diffuse and shadow channel to extract the information i wanted from my renders but.. the shadow channel turns out black why is that?.

since this method does not seem to work does anyone know of a different way of doing it?

    Thanks!

    * LMB: Assign a frontal camera projection to a mesh groundplane (good for composite renderings).
You can see examples at my gallery (31, 32, 34).

      Sweet Micha your the man
but do you have any quick tips on how to use it in a good way?
for example should the mesh be modeled to look like the enviroment in the image?

No, create a soft studio ground, so that the background of the viewport is filled. Convert the ground to a mesh, no to low quality. At this mesh plane can be used the frontal mapping tool.
For adjust camera-model-photo use the Rhino background image function. Place the foto at the Rhino background, hide the ground plane and turn the view, so that the model looks like placed at the photo. Than unhide the mesh ground plane and turn it to the background of the view ...
