Problem of scaling the mapping

Hi All,
I tried to apply a diffuse map, but seems no way to scale it or move,I tried to adjust the uvw transform it seems no respond, sometimes the mapping disappear . could anyone give me some suggestion ??

select the object -> rhino object properties -> mapping -> ...
