Re: moving from one computer to a new one.

Bug crushing is one thing. Authorization issues is another. I lost 2 days of work because authorization error's. I'm on my second week of not hearing from support.
I even wrote to the authorizations@asgvis.com e-mail adress, as suggested in the installer, which should handle just that...not a word so far.
But nevermind now - I found a work around.

Re: moving from one computer to a new one.

You found a workaround for a licensing issue? That sounds interesting, I'd like to hear what the exact issue and workaround was.

I'll be the first to admit, sometimes support questions fall through the cracks. We try to respond as quickly and accurately as we can to everyone's inquiries, but sometimes an email might be buried, or blocked by a spam filter, or something of that sort. To everyone that this has happened to (hopefully that isn't too many people), we apologize, there's really no excuse to be made about it.

If at any point you do feel neglected or think that you happen to be one of the few that slip through the cracks, please call us or shoot us an email or two to check up on things.

      Thanks

        Thank you dkending

Not really a work around. I'm running the demo version until it get's sorted - at least that's what I think I'm running. I tried to uninstall, install and authorize numerous times, but was told that the purchase number had been used a maximum number of times. I then in frustration just pressed the demo button to get back to working and the application told me it had registered succesfully. Whether it really has I guess I'll find out in a few days...

If your current project makes a break, you could change the computer date and see, will it expire. If yes, than you have time to fix it with the support team.

Thanks Micha, never thought of that. I'll give it a try when there's a window of time open.

That shouldn't work. If it did then if you could deal with having the wrong date/time displayed, then you'd never have to buy our product. As much as we enjoy people trying our product out, and have extended trial periods on many occasions, you'd still need to purchase the product.

Oh, and thats how it is for almost every trial of almost any software (trust me I've tried this one)

I have seen software, if the date is changed over the expire date and changed back again, it don't work again. I thought this could be the case for VfR too.

Re: moving from one computer to a new one.

Micha- nope, as far as we know, changing the date and time shouldn't change your demo status.

tle- I hate to have you jump through any more hoops, but if you could send us your serial number via our support ticket system, I will personally make sure that your license is reset. I'm sorry it caused you this much frustration.
