  • Glass Question

Hi to all, i was wondering how could I get a glass floor. The problem is that the materials I tried were too reflective. This is an example:

And this is the kind of surface that i would like to use:

        Re: Glass Question

I'm not really sure exactly what your question is. The reference image that you posted has a ground plane that is rather matte, so I'm not sure where you're seeing glass floors. Maybe you can clarify a bit.

          Re: Glass Question

I would like to have my model on glass table... so I can put an image for background (png file). But with this kind of refraction my glass turn into a mirror.

          Thanks

            Re: Glass Question

If you're looking to place your rendering onto a background image, then that is something you can do in photoshop provided you have the alpha channel for your image. You can manually save out the alpha channel, or use a format that saves the alpha channel in the file like pngs or tgas.

              Re: Glass Question

The picture uploaded rescently is PNG file....and the white backround respond to another layer. So I guess the glass is not working. If you want to i can send you the 3dm file.

              Thanks a lot

                  Re: Glass Question

Hi zooropa, i think you should check the Affect Alpha option in the refl layer of your glass material.

Thank you all! I have decided to change my floor material:

The new question: Somebody knows which parameter i should change to get more translucency on my blue piece... ???
                    Thank you all!
