  • Clay Material

Hi to all. I want to figure out how to make clay material, I am closer to the final result, I think, but I still have a missing parameter. This is my render till now:

    Thank you in advance

    Re: Cay Material

Old problem - Oren-Nayar shading is missed at VfR, so all rough surfaces are a problem like clay or cloth, but here some workarounds:

can somebody feel that Ruslan used dirt-shader with composing?

maybe need to search "clay render tutorials" or play with render passes's maps

            Re: Clay Material

Right, my workarounds are not good for large objects, large renderings. So far I know, only Oren-Nayar could help (you see the date of Vlados answer at my link - summer 2006 : )

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oren–Nayar_diffuse_model

Maybe it's implemented at Vray for 3dsmax and is available per SDK. I will send a feature request ticket ...

Thank you all, I keeping with my "clay" because I have to present this project for Uni and I don't have so much time.

Really thank you for all your answers.
