  • Newbie Exterior Designer

Hi to all , I have a presentation this Saturday of an Exterior/Interior render.
Im really new with exterior ambient, few questions:

    1. Which is the difference between using only sky vs sky+sun ( I tried and the sky also have like a sun light)
    2. Should I use an exterior Hdri or sky? Is there any difference ???
    3. Do anyone know a Exterior Tutorial...I tried with a few... but there are all for 3dM and it has different parameters. (May be a basic)
    4. Do anyone have an exterior scene of Vfr???

    Thank you all!

    1. Personally, I don't see much advantage in using only the sky. You'll still have to set up a sun to get the shadows properly anyway. A typical setup may involve using the sun and an HDR for gi and background.

    2. Probably. Not that there's that much of a difference in using an hdr or the sky, but the sky will be relatively flat when showing up in reflections. An hdri may have clouds or something which will usually make reflections more interesting.
