  • "Processing geometry table" and time to start a rendering

A client ask me, why does Rhino need a long time to start a rendering some times? He says, it depends on the loaded VfR option setup. Dependent from the setup, he see the message "Processing geometry table" for a short or a long time. Which parameter makes, that "Processing geometry table" needs a longer time?

Most of the delay in start up time has to do with mesh creation. I've never really seen the "processing geometry" step take more than a few seconds...maybe 10 at most. I'm not sure exactly what would cause things to take a super long time, but I would imagine that its related to the amount and complexity of geometry within the scene. If there were a specific parameter that would possibly affect this, its most likely related to the BSP tree.

Thank you - I have the same experience like you. I will ask the client for his setup files and test it here.
