  • Linear Lights , Trubidity?

if i change the settings from Varies the lowest value is 2

well basically i don't understand any of the settings that are not on(unset) and it is way over saturated (the current linear lights) and i want to turn it down, what is the method to do this?

if i hit modify it takes me to the sun options and if i turn that off it crashes Rhino

is this not a working light for use with Vray and is going to a rectangular light with a multiplier >15 the better way to go?

the fixture is a florescent uplight with 2 downward openings that refracts off ceiling tile.

also when i turn this light on and set a non varying turbidity it sends light spots around like a disco ball from the linear light

Vray does not support Rhino linear light. That is probably why you are having problem.

I don't know if 15 is the right multiplier to use, depends on a lot of things, but what I do no is since linear light are not supported by Vray, you should go with rectangular.

Linear lights are supported, but chances are you're seeing that because of a selection sorting issue, which should be addressed in the build release soon. All those values mean something in terms of the sun/sky system, so I think you should check spot3d.com for more details on all those values.

Yea, disregard that...They aren't supported and In my moment of clarity I thought linear lights meant direct lights. Sometimes people refer to direct lights with a number of different terms, and I just wasn't thinking. Sorry.
