    For me it's a difference to use a "toon" switch only and get all Vray material + Rhino materials with outline or to create for each color a material and for each material a toon material. For example at my interior I use 15 Rhino mats and 5 VfR mats. If I would render the toon per VfR now, than I must create 40 materials. At my current project I use Penguin and add the outline to the Vray rendering per Photoshop. Maybe I'm a lazy user.

      As I said, they're more technically based than anything else. What you're asking for, a "unified" way to apply toon overlays, might actually wind up being possible within some of the additions to the next version. The "unified" way of applying toon lines within an atmospheric is a good byproduct of that change, but its not the main motivation for it.
