  • admission of ignorance for tranlucency

Translucency under the refraction settings has a thickness number. What should I assume this value means in units? Document driven units? 1000 is very vague...1000 bananas?

    Any help appreciated.

My experience is, it's quite simle: for units the number counts. If you model is 2000 units thick and you set translucency 1000, than the calculations stops after 1000 units.
Or bump: if you set bump intensity 1, than it mean max bump hight 1 unit. If you work in milimeters, than it is one milimeter, if you work in meters, than ...
