Probably a stupid question but...can you achieve the DR Spawner between two computers if there connected to one another through a cable or does each computer have to be connected to the internet with its own IP address...

You do not have to be connected to the internet. Only local intranet is required. Not sure if connecting two computers via cross-over cable will work...Please mention what V-Ray and SketchUp version you are using when posting questions.
