A few months ago I posted a script that helped with setting zDepth values, and although it was helpful, it just printed things to the command line. I'm not 100% sure everyone saw it, but we posted a small update for VfR just before Xmas. Part of that was fixing the zDepth channel, and while we were there, we also took the time to add several methods for setting the zDepth properties via scripting.
So here's a new version of the script that uses those additions to automate the whole process. The only option for the script, other than the geometry that will be used is whether the minimum value is set to black or white.
Note: This script REQUIRES the most recent version of VfR. This is slightly tricky because this script will run, but display an error box with SR1. If you see an error, then please update VfR. The specific build number that is needed is 1.05.29
