How can i get a reflection by mapping on a flat plane using a chrome material? Do i put a map in the vray reflection slot? Or in the reflection layer or in the reflection glossiness slot? And what kind of map?
I tried several possibilities but without a good result.

    Thanks,

    René

    Reflection mapping suggestion

First of all, use the chrome shiny material that comes with Vray. Apply it to your object and study the settings if you're curious.

Secondly, a flat plane will only show a tiny patch of your background and require ungodly tweaking to look nice. It helps tremendously if you have an interesting environment -- maps and objects -- to reflect.

TIP: Put chrome on a sphere in your scene. Then you'll get a "probe" view of everything in your scene -- and this can save many steps of tweaking. You can then delete the chrome sphere when you're done with your testing.
